Do you dream of nature and open skies? Then prepare yourself to hike on foot, or with a donkey, in the Cevennes, to kayak down the Ardeche canyons or cycle along the small roads criss-crossing Mount Ventoux and the Luberon.

Do history and heritage fascinate you? Then go back in time to the Middle Ages when the Popes built their huge palace in Avignon, to pre-historic times and the very first artists of the Chauvet-Pont d'Arc grotto, while not forgetting the works of the great Roman builders at the Pont du Gard and in Nime.

Are you a real foodie? Then take a walk through the vineyards of the Côtes du Rhone, meet the winemakers and taste their latest vintage! Have lunch on a bistro terrace or at a top restaurant or enjoy an improvised picnic of local produce under the shade of an olive tree!

You are then ready to experience the South with a game of “pétanque” on the village square, a siesta lulled by the singing of cicadas, a stroll through colourful street markets, fragrant walks amid fields of lavender, or just lazing around by the Mediterranean Sea.
